# Clari Mentor — Public Product Context

> Clari Mentor (also known as Clari Notes) is a local-first iPhone/iPad study app: collect material, preserve AI tutoring history, review with flashcards, connect knowledge, choose AI providers and customise learning coaches. Clari Clip and the separate Clari Toolkit for Mac help collect and prepare material.

## Key boundaries

Study records are stored locally, with optional personal iCloud sync. External AI requests send the required content directly to the configured provider; provider terms and charges apply. API keys use the iOS Keychain. Optional Clari Clip delivery sends selected content through Apple CloudKit after the user chooses it. Local-first does not mean all AI is offline or free.
