Clari Clip - Privacy Policy

Overview
Clari Clip helps users select AI conversations and web content and organize it as Clari Mentor questions or notes. This policy covers local export and the optional Apple CloudKit delivery feature.
Local Processing and Storage
After the user opens the extension, extraction, selection, editing, Markdown conversion, and Clari file generation occur locally in the browser.
Clari Clip may store content-kind and export preferences, custom Subjects, Question Types, Note Folders and Note Types in chrome.storage.local. If the user signs in with Apple, the current CloudKit session token is also stored locally and may be rotated by Apple CloudKit. Local data can be removed by clearing extension storage or uninstalling the extension.
Optional Apple CloudKit Delivery
Only after the user signs in with Apple and explicitly clicks “Send to Clari Mentor” does Clari Clip send the selected content and classification metadata through Apple CloudKit to that user's private Clari Mentor iCloud database.
Apple processes the authentication and delivery request. Clari Notes does not receive the Apple ID password, CloudKit token, or a copy of the delivered content on a Clari-operated server. Users can download Clari files or copy Markdown without using this feature.
Data Practices
Clari Notes does not sell user data, use analytics or advertising trackers, build advertising profiles, or collect browsing history in the background. Locally exported content is not sent to Clari Notes.
Permissions and Third-Party Services
activeTab and scripting read a user-invoked source page; downloads saves generated files; storage keeps local settings and the optional CloudKit session; sidePanel displays the interface. Declared source hosts support capture, optional website access requires user approval, and Apple CloudKit hosts support optional authentication and private-database delivery.
Clari Clip contains no remote executable code or third-party analytics SDK. The optional iCloud feature uses Apple ID web authentication and Apple CloudKit under Apple's applicable privacy terms.
